About bread


 So a thing I didn’t like about the project that inspired me to try this sandwich project was the bread. 

I felt that it looked dense, dry and unappealing. 

I really like bread and am hoping to have good bread for THE sandwich. 

To that end I have been working on my baking. I’m honestly much more of a cook than a baker. I’m using my tendency to take New Years resolutions seriously. I have decided to make a loaf of bread a week for the whole year. So far here in April I’ve managed to do it. 

I’m learning what makes a good bread bake and also how to take short cuts like using the bread maker for the dough and first rise. 

I know that my flour will likely be a pretty course whole wheat flour and am working my way towards getting some appealing sandwiches out of that.
